(*) Here are some typical expressions to understand the locals before arriving to Cuba:

* “mi amol”: An expression of affection to communicate with someone kindly, in a friendly manner, even if that someone is an unknown person. In addition to Cubans, affectionate people tend to switch the letter «r» for the letter «l».

* “No pasa na’ ”: means ´no problem´. Usually, locals simplify sentences by leaving out words or letters. In this case, «na’» comes from «nada» meaning nothing.

* “Llegando a la concreta”: An expression used to say `in a nutshell / in short / in summary´. It´s common to use in phrases or colloquial sayings between locals.

* "¿Te quedaste bota’o?”: An expression used that means ‘Did you understand?’ Another example of leaving out words or letters is with «bota´o» derived from «botado». Usually, the letter «d» is omitted for phonetic reasons.

Manuel is the head of this operation. His Cuban Story started 1998 when he travelled to Cuba for the first time and immediately fell in love with this beautiful country and its amazing people. At that time, he started to export Vinho Verde, a typical wine from the Minho Region (Portugal) to Cuba, only later he started the travel business and Tropikvedeta was born.
