ITINERARY

  • Flight to Havana, transfer to the hotel in Miramar.
  • Short briefing about the tour.
  • Night at the hotel with dinner included.
  • We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and an early check-out.
  • City tour through Old Havana and panoramic tour through modern Havana.
  • Visit to Plaza de la Revolución (Revolution Square) and, later, lunch at La Dominicana restaurant.
  • We continue our trip to Hanabanilla, to check-in at the hotel. Dinner and free time.
  • This day starts with a short ferry transfer that will take us across the southern side of the Hanabanilla lake. Our trip takes us through beautiful trails along the Guanayara River, crossing shady and inspiring forests, and great waterfalls and lagoons, where we can dive.
  • Lunch at a farm. Then, we continue through Centinelas trail of Melodioso River, until get to Salto del Rocío (waterfall). Time for a swim in Poceta del Venado (lagoon).
  • Arrival at Gallega House and camping.

*Hours of Trekking: 6hrs (approx.) » 18km

  • We start this journey very early, climbing 400m on small “mule paths”, where we can enjoy beautiful landscapes.
  • After a brief stop, we continue climbing until we get to some coffee plantations that offer us a stunning view of the lake.
  • Later we head to Codina and have dinner.
  • By bus, we get to our last destination: Villa Caburni, at Topes de Collantes.

*Hours of Trekking: 7-8hrs (approx.) » 16kms  

  • We leave by bus, towards Encantos de la Codina, crossing over a few more coffee plantations at La Batata, where the river drills of its way through a lagoon where we can swim.
  • Lunch and return to Villa Caburni, to enjoy the landscape, passing by a stunning 1930’s plantation.
  • Return to Villa to have dinner and free time.

*Hours of Trekking: 5 – 6hrs (approx.) » 14km

  • After an healthy breakfast, we head to Caburni Waterfalls, following the Caburni River to its confluence with the Vegas Grande River.
  • Later we will have lunch at Mi Retiro restaurant. To get there we must take a bus to the end of the valley. We will camp there for this night.
  • Return to Villa to have dinner.

* Hours of trekking: 9hrs (approx.) » 22km

  • We start the day setting off along a hillside path, where we can enjoy amazing views of Trinidad, considered by Unesco a World Heritage City, and where we get to see a first glimpse of the sea.
  • As we go down, we approach the farm where we will have lunch, El Cubano, before going Caballero Waterfalls, surrounded by lagoons and crystal waters.
  • Later we go, by bus, to the hotel to check-in and to have dinner.

* Hours of Trekking: 6 – 7hrs (approx.) » 15km

  • Free day to relax on the white sand beaches or to explore the delights of Trinidad before getting together in the evening for dinner.
  • Drive back to Havana airport.

Yes, you need both. By contacting the nearest Cuban Embassy or Consulate in your country you get obtain a visa, except for citizens of the USA, whom will be issued a visa onboard their flights to Cuba.

No, there are no mandatory shots to visit Cuba. Cuba is not considered a risk country for zika, dengue, hepatitis B, malaria, typhoid and other tropical disease.

As a general rule, you should avoid tap water in Cuba and stick to drinking bottled water. This includes mixed drinks made with tap water and beverages containing ice made from tap water, so ask for your drinks without ice. 

Cuba enjoys a tropical climate, with year-round temperate weather. We distinguish between two seasons: the wet season (May-October) and the dry season (November-April). But our advice is to travel to Cuba when you can and worry less about the weather in Cuba. There are benefits of traveling to Cuba during any month or any season. Ultimately, you can’t go wrong.

Nowadays almost every hotel has Wi-fi, normally for free. It is also possible to purchase internet for your mobile phone, so you don´t need to worry about not staying connected.

Cell phone coverage is generally available in Cuba´s large cities and tourist towns. Rural and remote areas may have less network coverage. Remember to activate global roaming with your service provider before leaving home.
